School Visit to Embassy

School Visit to the Embassy is an educational outreach program that welcomes students and teachers from Australian schools to the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Canberra. The program is designed to provide firsthand learning experiences about diplomacy, international relations, and Indonesia’s culture and education system.

Through this visit, students gain a deeper understanding of:

  1. The role and functions of the Embassy in fostering Indonesia–Australia bilateral relations;
  2. Cooperation between Indonesia and Australia in the fields of education, trade, culture, and people-to-people engagement;
  3. Indonesia’s position as the largest democracy in Southeast Asia and its growing role in the region and globally.

Activities typically include:

  1. An introduction to Indonesian culture, including language, music, batik, and other cultural traditions;
  2. Interactive discussions on Indonesian language education and opportunities to engage with Indonesia.

This program supports the development of students’ global citizenship, intercultural understanding, and international awareness, while strengthening people-to-people connections between the younger generations of Indonesia and Australia.
