The Guru Bantu Program is an educational cooperation program aimed at supporting the teaching of Indonesian language in schools and universities in Australia through the placement of pre-service teachers (teacher trainees) or lecturers from Indonesia. Schools may also facilitate Guru Bantu for other subjects.
Guru Bantu can participate in universities that offer Indonesian language and Indonesian Studies programs.
This program also provides international teaching practicum experience for students and lecturers, while strengthening institutional relationships between schools in Australia, higher education institutions in Indonesia, and the Indonesian diplomatic missions in Australia.
