Call for Project Proposals
🗓 Submission: 30 June – 31 July 2025

The WAEJUC Joint Research 2025 is a flagship program of the Western Australia–East Java University Consortium (WAEJUC), aimed at strengthening academic cooperation and fostering innovative, interdisciplinary research between institutions in East Java and Western Australia.

Through this initiative, researchers are invited to co-develop impactful research projects that address shared regional priorities and global challenges, while building sustainable academic networks and contributing to knowledge exchange between two dynamic regions.

🧩 Program Highlights
Selected team proposals will receive support funding up to AUD 25.000.
The joint research teams should comprising academics from:

2–3 East Java universities, and

1–2 Western Australian universities

Each team must include a minimum of 2 East Java-based researchers and 1 researcher from Western Australia, led by a Principal Investigator (PI) and supported by up to 4 Co-Principal Investigators (Co-PIs).

This collaborative structure encourages balanced contribution and knowledge-sharing across institutions.

Proposals are welcome across a broad range of disciplines, including but not limited to:
* Liberal Arts & Humanities
* Management & Economics
* Natural & Social Sciences
* Engineering & Computer Science
* Urban Planning & Design
* Life Sciences & Biotechnology
* Medicine & Public Health

*The program encourages interdisciplinary approaches and collaboration with industry or relevant community stakeholders to enhance impact and application.
